NEW PERSHING 80 TO 50 KNOTS!

The styling is unmistakable. Pershing’s stunning new-generation profile – the brainchild of Fulvio de Simone – is surely destined to become a classic of its kind. Within the now familiar sweeping lines, the new Pershing 80 offers some truly brilliant design touches, fabulous accommodation and a simply astonishing performance. Top speed for a Pershing with surface drives is typically around 45 knots (52 mph). To date, only two Pershings have made the exclusive 50-knot club: the phenomenal Pershing 115 with its 5000hp turbine, and the highly acclaimed Pershing 56. Now, there is a third. The Pershing 80 is offered with a choice of engines: twin 2030hp MTUs will deliver a very respectable 44 knots; but with twin 2435hp MTUs she will hit the magic 50 knots (57 mph). Coupled directly to their Arneson drives, the engines are tucked away right at the stern, so they occupy a minimal amount of space. As a result, the accommodation on the 80’s lower deck just seems to go on and on. Everything is wonderfully spacious, even the bathrooms. In the bow is a VIP guest suite. Behind that, in the 4-cabin version, there are twin-berth guest cabins to port and starboard, with a shared bathroom. In the 4-CABIN VERSION or 3-CABIN VERSION alternative 3-cabin version, the starboard twin-berth cabin is replaced by a dining saloon with seating for six. Then comes the owner’s suite, extending across the full beam at the centre of boat. It features Pershing’s massive hull windows with opening ports, plus a walk-in wardrobe and a huge bathroom. Aft of that, reached via stairs from the rear of the saloon, is an extensive, self-contained crew area, with two cabins, a shower/wc, a crew dinette and the main galley equipped to professional standards. Right at the stern is a garage that will accommodate a RIB and a jet-ski side-by-side. The evolution of Pershing’s unique saloon and main deck arrangement just gets better and better. On the 80, the styling, as always, is cutting edge, with a cool, chic colour palette, elegant accents, and a range of furnishings from the celebrated Italian designer, Poltrona Frau. Full length windows along both sides give the saloon a wonderfully bright, fresh ambience. The dining area, main lounge and aft deck are all on one level, and can be opened up into one, seamless space as the glass partition separating the saloon and aft deck disappears down into the floor at the touch of a button, as on the Pershing 72. On the 80, this partition is divided into two sections, giving the option of linking the inside and outside spaces either completely or just partially. The system was designed in collaboration with the masters of electric lifting gear, Besenzoni. Built into the rear of the hardtop is a powered sliding section that can either be slid back, to let more sun into the cockpit, or extended over the aft deck seating/dining area to provide additional shade over the seating area.
